Bright ideas for stripped threads in power socket mounting box

But look like a bodge. The correct screws are raised head chrome plated. And a raised head chrome plated wood screw will be brass, and break if you try to screw it into steel.

Yes. You don't even need to use araldite - just some normal clear Bostik, etc. Or even superglue. Hold the nut in place with the screw until the glue dries.

A No 6 woodscrew fits fine , im sure if your on your hands and knees you would notice it but in the real world would anyone see it. Rob

Fix faceplate irrevocably to wall with car body filler and superrglue screw to it just before selling house ;-)
