Instead of buying a bit you will use only once take your piece to a granite counter installer- fabricator. It should be cheaper and done right the first time.

I am putting granite tile on my kitchen counter. I have also decided to put it on my backsplash as well. My problem here is that the two water pipes for the sink pass through the wall. How do I cut a 3/4' hole into granite tile without destroying it? My local HD guy didn't seem to know .... other than to suggest a 3/4' masonry drill. I am concerned about excessive chipping and I don't think a masonry drill will do the job. I would appreciate ideas.

Thanks, Al Kondo

or arrange for the grout line to go through the pipes, and cut half circles with your tile saw.
