lupines and foxgloves

Hi,

Does anyone know a mail order company that will ship lupine plants and foxglove plants(biennials generally!) in the fall. Why only spring shipment? - Do they grow too big or something?

Thanks for any info

It looks like Bluestone has both for fall shipment. Growers who produce small plants for sale, like Bluestone, have two production cycles. The plants for fall shipment are started in mid June. Therefore, the plants are not too big.

They naturally go dormant in the fall and winter because of cold weather.

Naturally you want to get them into the ground before winter.

Its the same with bulbs if you didn't notice.
