Ben:Jorgensons are the classic ones--orange, in 1/2" or 3/4" diameter. I used them for years until Rockler came out with improved blue ones that are higher to clear the crank and wider to be much more stable. Either brand works just fine, I just find the Rockler to be more user-friendly.Sources are or Expect to pay $10-14 per pair plus shipping. I bought mine at K-Mart. They had exactly what I was looking for:one-inch Pony pipe clamps. These are very good quality at a lowprice, but stick with the 1" size, not the smaller. Since then I'vepurchased Bessey (made in Germany) K-body clamps, but I still use thePony pipe clamps on occasion. Do yourself a favor and stay away fromcheap clamps typically made in Asian countries. Thumbs up to clampsmade in the USA--they are all very good. There are a fewfrustrations working with pipe clamps (black staining, crank hits whatyou are trying to clamp, uneven pressure, marring, etc) but there areways to deal with it.

Surely you mean 3/4"??? I've never seen a 1" Pony pipe clamp and the pipe would be heavy...

But, I agree w/ 3/4 over 1/2...
