Scary Accident

I ran into an old friend last week while Christmas shopping. I hadn't seenhim in quite some time so it was a pleasant surprise to run into him. Hehad a large woodworking shop so I of course asked him what he'd been makinglately. He immediatly held up his left hand displaying what was left of hisfingers. Every finger, including the thumb was half as long as they shouldhave been after being cut off by a chop saw. He admitted to doing justabout everything wrong. To start with, one of the fingers on that hand wasin a splint from a previous accident. He was in a hurry. Cutting a shortpiece of wood, the splint, being longer than his finger, got caught by theblade and pulled all his fingers into the blade.I can only imagine the look on my face while hearing about this accident. Ihope I never have to hear about another one and will take great steps sothat I never have to explain an accident of my own like that one.Please be careful while woodworking. Body parts are hard to replace.Bryan
