This is not a nitpick, as you'll see later on...

rec.woodworking not a "site", it's a usenet group.

If you are curious about the difference between a usenet group and a website, read this:

Knowing that rec.woodworking is a usenet group, not a website, allows you to use your favorite search engine to find an answer to your question. Simply search for something like:

'usenet on a mac' or 'usenet client for macbook', etc.

Google Groups is also an option. While many people do not like Google Groups, one advantage is that you can log in on any device and your "history" will always be up to date. Since it is "account based" not "usenet client based" your activity follows you regardless of what device (Mac, Windows, Android, etc.) you use to access usenet.

I'm curious. How have you been accessing rec.woodworking on Windows?

P.S. regarding your subject line:

The usenet standard for off topic posts is to use a subject line that gives readers some idea of what the post is about. That makes it easy for them to decide if they want to participate or not.

e.g. OT - Access rec.woodworking on a MacBook

Ha! Looks like you gave up on a spell checker too. I can't help, I don't buy computer's from companies whose founder abandoned his own child, then has his own products made by somebody else's children.

Google Groups is a terrible interface; don't try it. I think that Thunderbird still makes a Mac version. I haven't updated my Thunderbird in over a decade, and it still does the job -- just keep your same Giganews account, and sign in with Thunderbird or whatever. Perhaps others can give suggestions on Mac Usenet readers.
