====================== A solution seems to be at hand.

Major big time truck mounted air compressors have been brought to feed air lances (Think oxygen lance for a BOF furnace in a steel mill), along with vacuum trucks normally used for sewer work.

These lances go to the bottom where the aerate the piles of dead fish, driving them to the surface where the vacuum trucks suck the fish up.

The air lances appear to be a success, the vac trucks, not so much.

The vac trucks are picking up not only the floating fish, but also a lot of surface water which is slowing down the process; however, overall, progress is being made.

No ESP.
