allows different devices to do the cutting
this one includes the frame but the gryphon is more versatile since you can hang the rails off the end of your bed to work all kinds of sizes and shapes
an excellent feature with this one is that you could do dadoes and box joints quite fast
set up all four boards cut the dadoes flip them over and cut the other sides
once you figure out the nuances of using a cnc things could go quite fast and you get accurate and repeatable cuts
could also do mortises and tenons very nicely
think i am convincing myself of getting one of these but it is beyond my budget
