manual for delta 28-984 height attachment for 14" bandsaw

Just moved and have lost my installation instructions for the delta

28-984 height attachement for 14" bandsaw. Found all the parts but can't find the manual (go figure). If anyone has the manual or knows where it can be found on the web (have done a search and gone to deltawoodworking, no luck) please e-mail the manual, a link or contact for fax number to fax it. Thanks for your help.

Just call or email delta, tell them what you need, exactly, and they'll mail you a copy.

good luck,

Aren't we pretty much talking about adding in some cast iron between the upper C-arm casting and switching out the hex rod on the upper guide?

You'll probably need to rent a 1 1/4" open end wrench.

Might be circular, if it's a modern machine.

Right answer given. Delta will even fax things, IIRC. Wouldn't it be nice if they had a raft of PDFs available, though?

Explain this *modern machine*? Has it lasers and GPS?

They're still grappling with the fundamentals (what is e-mail?) of Al Gore's Whirled Wide Web. Funny that by now you'd think some pimply faced propeller headed geek from DeVilbis (1) would have sent something up channels on how much money they could save by having manuals on line.

(1) At Penthair the division making the most money gets to run the show. For a while it was naturally Delta but Porter-Capable nudged them out. Later DeVilbis was bought and they had (have?) a pretty healthy balance sheet which naturally meant they were/are doing something worthy.
