I use a brush for mortises, but for edge gluing and large surfaces I always use a paint roller with a glue in a paint tray if I have a lot to do, or I just roll it in with what's called a brayer. I like the brayer because it leaves a nice even film of glue. I think most folks use way too much glue, at least from what I see in my shop. ================================================================================================================= I use the brayer myself.
