Can anyone help with dimensions?

Can anyone help with some of the dimensions by looking at this? FOr example, what would you say the posts are, 3x3??

How high would you say the front rail is?

I'd guess the legs are closer to 2.25-2.5" square, the front tail is probably 5.5" and the legs don't look half that width. The site states the finial ball is 3" tall, not just the ball but the whole finial. The site states that the end panels are 30" high, I'd say the front tail is half that at the top and or 15" from floor to the top of the rail.

Rounded over edges will always make a post or leg look bigger than if leaving the edges sharp.

LOL ... all the clues you need are on the page.

Extrapolate, using the photograph, from the following:

This daybed uses a standard twin-size mattress. The Wooden Slat Support system is 15 inches from the floor. Trundle Dimensions - 76L x 40W x 13H inches Side panel measures 33 inches high and the finial ball is 3 inches high. Mattress Dimensions- 68L x 38W x 5D inches Dimensions:81.5L x 41.6W x 45.5H

Then make a scale drawing on graph paper and test the proportions. This is where skill with a CAD, or drawing program like SketchUp comes in handy in woodworking when no plans area available.

You do it, though ... practice really helps for future attemps.
