bandsaw guides

I was originally planning on getting the Grizzly g0555 and g0566. The small one for a 1/8" blade, and the big one for resawing and other heavy stuff. I'm still trying to determine the right way to spend a limited budget though. Someone mentioned getting just the g0566 and finding new guides to handle the 1/8" blades. Does anyone know where I can get these or recommend one over the other? One of the advantages of two saws was to be able to have two blades and two guides installed at once. Once I figure in the cost of the extra guides, maybe I'm most of the way to the cost of the g0555. What does everyone think?

Carter makes an excellent guide for 1/8" blades but it's about $60. I was going to buy one but can't bring myself to spend that much for a little bit of aluminum, a bearing and a couple of screws.

Perhaps that's the wrong way to look at it. Might be better to consider that your $60 is buying you the capability to use 1/8" blades. That way you're focussing on your goal and can decide its worth rather than the ingenuity of how it's to be implemented. Is it worth $60 to be able to use

1/8" blades, regardless of other considerations?
