I am trying to install 3/4 inch solid hardwood flooring.. but if i nail directly to the gypcrete then the nails would bend and/or the gypcrete would crack all up. should i screw ply to the gypcrete then nail the

3/4 solid hardwood planks to the ply? thank you.
