12" Delta bandsaw

Hi, Is the 12" bandsaw Delta (shopmaster) will it do a good job with a 1/2 hp motor ?? Thanks

Good job for what? Cutting small parts? Sure. Resawing 12" boards? No. Ed

I beleive that 12" refers to the wheel size not the cutting height. This is a pretty low-end saw. It will likely be adequate for cutting curves through the thin dimension of a board, but this is not the class of machine suited for resawing.
