Hopefully it might deter some of those videos that just go on and on and on (usually with a wavy camera) before they finally get to the point (if they ever do).

They changed it years ago, if you supply a mobile number or other proof of ID can;t remmber what they asked for but check setting or prefs whatever it's called and ther'es a link to how you can enable the upload longer vids than 15mins. Longest I think I have is 30mins and file size of 7GB.

The ones that get me are those filmed with one hand filming what the other is doing combined with hose-piping ( a technical term:-) Years ago I read of an American film producer who needed some clips from Cuba. Access to him was unavailable so he gave a 16mm film camera to a friend who was going there on holiday . He gave him only 2 instructions .No hose-piping and no zooming And as for phone videos recorded in portrait format. Sweet j***s have these people never been to the cinema? And those bloody unboxing videos (again usually done with one hand) Get a bloody tripod. Some websites have excellent video content , e.d.,Harrys Garage or Bradshaw Joinery.

They are also encouraging uploaders of videos to add audio description tracks using the multi lingual system they now offer for free to all I am told. You can also enable auto captioning apparently. I' also gather that there is supposed to be an auto copyright material AI in there that terminates anyone uploading stuff illegally, though do not know how good it is. Brian
