Worktops were ordered with the mitres already done, they've been supplied with a tube of colorfill which apparently sets as hard as the laminate itself*.
I'm wondering whether to PVA the edges of the work top, whether this will be beneficial, pointless or even possibly detrimental.

I think PVA is a waste of time standard versions are not waterproof and I doubt even the claimed waterproof variates are all that good. If I remember from the last time I made masons mitres the recommendation was to smear a thin layer of silicon sealant on the edges just short of the laminate tighten up the securing bolts and just before the final tighten to use the colour fill using white spirits to remove any squeeze out before it set.
