worcester 24i banging when ch comes on

I hope some one out there can help me to put right the mind blowin

banging form my system. It only starts when the central heating comeo but stops when I turn on a hot tap. If this needs to be flushed out, how do I do it? I have thought o using a 14lb sledge hammer on the old boiler but she's not very keen o that.

The usual cause of this is not enough flow of water. This could be a partially failed pump, all/most of the TRV stuck down, no/inadequate bypass pipework...

is this a combi??? if so what is the pressure on the dial, have you bled rads???
