That is irrelevant. A number of cells make a battery whatever the make of alarm.

If it's an APC UPS about every three years if you leave the auto testing featured enabled. About every 5 years if you switch it off. APC are renown for cooking batteries.
Anyway with the bell box battery relocated into the loftspce one doesn't have to use a piddly little thing that fits in the bell box. One could make something up from D cells. Thus extending the required replacement time.

Mine already uses D cells.. Lasts 3yrs - allegedly
