Where to get zanussi dishwasher spares (soap dispenser door)?

The seal on the soap dispenser door has died but I can only find a complete soap+finish dispenser for £50 - seems a bit OTT when I only need the seal or the door+seal. It's a DW925 dishwasher. Can anyone suggest a supplier?

I take it that price is from the official spares suppliers (phone number in the back of the users guide).

I'm my opinion, although they are expensive all Zanussi parts are expensive, doesn?t really matter who the supplier is.

I tried to get the spare wheels for the baskets, but refused to pay £5 per wheel( 16 wheels in total), wrote a letter of complaint to Zanussi, but did not follow it up. I hate to say this, but in my opinion you have

4 options either:

  1. Pay the £50

  1. Put up with it
  2. Bodge it
  3. Buy a new dishwasher (just make sure you can get spares before you select a new manufacture)

Sorry I can?t be more helpful.

  1. Check out your local household recycling centre.

Our local centres offer "Sold as seen" appliances for peanuts (Often as little as £3 a machine). As Zanussi is part of Merloni a lot of parts from Ariston, Zanussi and Indesit machines are common.

Buy a suitable machine, strip the parts you need in the car park and return the rest of the machine to the tip.

It may take a couple of visits on subsequent weekends to find a suitable machine, however.

Hi,

This site lists a dispenser seal for a DW907:

and this site lists a dispenser for the DW907 and DW925 under the same part number:

so I'd expect the above dispenser seal part no."50226067002" for a DW907 will fit a DW925, (unless they have changed the design of the dispenser which seems unlikely).

There are also a couple of sellers on Ebay specialising in dishwasher spares who may be able to help.

Failing that I would try to cast another one out of high grade silicone or LS-X, either making a mould or doing it in situ.

BTW I reckon the basket wheels might last longer when using liquid detergent than powder as the powder contains a mild abrasive.

cheers, Pete.
