Where is the best place to buy robot parts?

Looking for some toothed pulleys and belts to motorise an N gauge turntable and finding compatible parts on Amazon is hard with their search engine.

Don't know if they are the best but Expo supply things like that amongst other useful parts, can often be found in Model shops or you can buy online.

Get a VHS, as old as possible, from freecycle etc. The later ones had a lot less mechanical bits.

I finally found what i think is a compatible set on amazon. A 10T 5mm bore pulley, a 50T 10mm bore pulley and a 11mm wide belt. Less than the price of the 10T pulley on most of the sites.
I would have liked a smaller bore on the big pulley but they don't seem to do them in metal.
It should be OTT for the job.
The real question is do I need to gear it up or gear it down? The stepper has 4k steps per rev so it could be quite slow but the final speed is quite low too. I might even try it without the gears first.
