Dungarees ?
Dungarees ?
Used to get all my jeans from TK Maxx until I discovered NEXT jeans which their "long" is actually what it says and seems to be 34" rather than the pointless 33" psuedo-long of other manufacturers.
They don't meet your 10 year life span unfortunately but for me and my bulbous arse the "relaxed" fit is spot on so I can forgive a little less durability.
True - I can just see Turnip in flares.
10 years a bit optimistic, but M&S are fairly decent IME.
The problem with cheap jeans is that they are more likely to suffer from 'builders bum', because of the cheapskate way that they are cut to save on material.
There was a time when you could buy ex-army stuff which was a lot tougher for diy, gardening etc.
Leather surely ?. With those natty straps to hold them up.
Horrible front pocket design though. I have two pairs of Uplanders which have lasted years and are more comfortable to wear on public transport.
I don't think I can afford replacements, Rohan seem to have gone upmarket, with pricing to match.
Mr Peeler seems to have missed this one :-)
I just buy 15 pound "value" jeans at M&S
though the last ones that I bought the cut is narrower and I now struggle to get them past my thick thighs, even though they are 2 inches larger in the waist than the previous pair(s)

I bought these really cheap supermarket jeans once
the colour came off onto my sofa
Never again
(fortunately, it was an end of life sofa that I intended on replacing anyway. I'd have been well pissed off if it was the replacement)
