What's it called - a "cross nut"?

I need some metal cross dowels (or rectangular pieces) which are tapped M4 or M5 in two directions (at 90 degrees). I could make them but I need quite a lot so would prefer to buy - any suggestions?

I'm not 100% sure what you're after! My first thoughts, on seeing the title, was that you were talking about castellated nuts -

the text sounds more like something with tappings for grub screws.

Can you be a bit more explicit?

Something like a cross dowel

that's tapped lengthways as well as across the width - but it doesn't have to be round. The application is to use them as "corners" to join some allthread at right angles.

How about an eye bolt on one rod and a couple of nuts either side on the other. You would need a threaded joiner to put the eye bolt in.

I don't think Adam has posted yet and he is the crossest nut in this group.
