Wetroom Sealant

Mar 28, 2008 3 Replies

I have had my tiling completed a few weeks ago in our Wet Room as well as another shower Room. I have had problems with sealant either going off coulour or not providing suitable adhesion before. Our Wetroom also has a bathtub at one corner. Can anyone recommend the best product to use. The corner Grout lines I would like to keep thin and minimal.

What exactly are you trying to seal? Are you talking about grouting tiles (wall or floor?) or around a bath, or what?

Silicone (sanitary grade) is the usual thing to use in most places. I've had good results with Screwfix p/n 76071 The Dow Corning one is also very good but Screwfix seem to have stopped selling it (?)

Get a Fugenboy if you're planning to use silicone anywhere though.

or, as a single example, Screwfix product number 45959?
