I posted about this a while back and got poo pooed... I need to get the holder for a rotary line dryer securely fixed in my garden. I used a bag of ready mix to cement in the holder but a month later it's loosened in the soft earth. What should I do? Use much more cement to embed it or is there a trick to it?

No special tricks. Use concrete not cement and dig a deeper hole and fill it with the concrete.

How about a length of scaffolding pole knocked in the ground? 2ft should be enough to secure the line in a force 8 or 9.
