I wish to install some led walkover recessed floor lighting into a 22mm
oak floor laid over a block and beam base, im guesing its not possible
the oak floor has not been laid yet, is it possible to recess into
these block and beam floors? The lamps require 85mm depth min.
You normally screed at least 75mmm over a block and beam floor. And
about 50mm of insulation too, if its ground floor.
There should be plenty of depth without compromising the B & B
structural integrity..look at your plans and see what is specified, and
remember to lay the beams about 150mm below finished floor..
Oh..the B&B is in already?
Well did they screed it or not? and insulate it? How far is it below
required finished floor?
Micromark do a 20mm deep fitting - it's smaller so you might need to
fit more of them, but would at least fit. Available from
www.bdctrade.co.uk, but you need an account. Other places will have
model number MM19032
