The URLs for icecasts are being moved and obscured constantly to force you to use updated hardware and software that costs you money

My raw URLS still seem to be working though, if you can program them in.

where has the BBC gone on my vtuner internet radios ? ...

Mainly because you need to log in to bbc sounds and some of the older internet radios did not allow this extra step. I do not know the model, but there are various other places that can pass on the audio, Radio Player being one of them. How long for of course depends on the BBC. Brian

oh well stuff the BBC then ...

and often available in different audio formats.

You will need the appropriate audfio codecs and player installed on your PC though.

Don't you mean "Good stuff, that."?

I'm sure that they are distraught that you feel like that. Have some sympathy for the poor mites.

I came to the same conclusion many years ago. BBC iPlayer blocked my VPN, even though I'm in the UK.

So I stopped paying the licence fee. Every month since then I receive, a letter, telling me they are opening up an “investigation” into my property. The letters thoughtfully include a window in them to let the postman, and neighbours that the letters get misdelivered to, know that I don't pay the licence.

Not really. You can access the URLS I posted with a browser and get audio. They stream standard icecast MP3 with embedded content info.

Ive been downloading stuff off I-player for years. Stuff them: I pay the license.

But I have to say I never watch the beeb any more, and very seldom ITV, channel 4 or 5.

Just films and documentaries, most of which are on Youtube anyway.

There is a lot of Russian state TV on You tube, handily subtitled. Its resemblance to the BBC is remarkable.

The ugly Olga let slip what she thought its real purpose was - to make the people feel optimistic and happy. Not to tell the truth.

Just like the BBC.

Ugh! This looks digital to me. Involves one too many middle-men/rent-seekers .

There's an example of something called a Preset there, mapping to an IceCast. Kinda like TNP was hinting.

So whatever you're using, there's software involved, and avoiding the vtuner lookup step, might fix it.
