Upgrade your nokia to a smartphone. If you have BB with wifi then a sim-only deal from Asda for 5 quid a month gives you free minutes and texts and enough data to suit your needs, assuming that you use the phone mostly in wifi mode when accessing BBC sounds and iPlayer.

You're a Level 39 Digital Wizard.

If I told you of a solution, well, it's not ready for use really, it's digital, and you'd hate it. I would not particularly enjoy setting it up either, as it sounds like a lot of work.
The only reason Internet Radio makes sense, is if it is "friction free" and just works. If you have to fight with it, what's the point exactly ? As soon as you have to reach for a soldering iron, write new firmware, set up a proxy streaming server, you'll question your own sanity on the matter.

Didnt realise you post to usenet using an analog computer, or do you use a couple of cans with bit of string between them.

As of today, it seems all BBC streaming URLs (other than the World Service) no longer work.
