Very few solar panels on new houses

Don't worry, comrades Corbyn and McDonnell are going to install them on every house for 'free'.

I expect they will also dig a new deep-mined coal mine to reward their core voters. Expect some interesting arguments between the greenwash side of the Labour party and the commie section.

Are you sure they are solar electric panels? If there's only 3 or 4 they are more likely to be solar thermal - ie to heat water directly.

That makes more sense.

I can see them clearly enough to notice the PV pattern. Thermal ones look entirely different.

Agreed, I just find it odd that a situation arose where the builder put in some panels, not none, not a full roof, but some.

Indeed - after the subsidies reduced, another company offered to install solar panels on my roof. He quoted all sorts of nonsensical figures, claimed the panels were free, then I realised he was actually creating a bank loan to buy the panels for me, and I was paying it back at some exorbitant interest rate, therefore getting next to f*ck all of the money from the generated power. At that point I told him I had a black credit rating and he lost his temper and left.

Companies make up all sorts of shit - British Gas tried to get me to change to them for my electricity supply, and claimed my direct debit could be reduced by a certain amount. He for some reason couldn't produce the unit price for the electricity. When I looked up the tarrif on the internet and asked him what would happen after a year of me paying less for a more expensive product, he lost his temper and left.

Weatherseal double glazing tried to sell me double glazing for £7000. When I said that was too much, he reduced it to £3500. When I told him I wasn't willing to deal with a wanker willing to fleece me of an extra £3500, he lost his temper and left, telling me I "didn't want windows and had wasted his afternoon". I told him I'd asked for a "f****ng quote" not a sale on the day. I found another company who did it for £2100.

Surely nobody votes Labour since Corbyn appeared?

Apparently next week they're due to announce the result of consultations for a "small export guarantee" from January 2020 to replace export FITs, which will either require a separate export meter, or a smart meter combining import and export registers.
