That's your fault for being disorganised.

(a) don't you have a bathroom cabinet? (b) if not, consider fitting one (c) if yes, is there really so much stuff in it you couldn't find the other three heads?

The actual cost of the head is a small part of the total cost. There is no reason that one head would be much cheaper than four.

Do you only buy single toilet rolls?

What makes you think he buys any? Plenty of walls to smear it on ...

My tooth brush charger has a capacity to store 4 heads. Over the years I have had different makes and models, the one thing they have in common is spare head storage.

Why do you think he needs a new head for his 'tooth' brush?

What is a "long period"? You should replace the heads about every two months and buy them in *at* *least* fours if not eights. And as has been pointed out, you keep the spares in the bathroom cabinet along with your spare toothpaste and soap.

I think I go through toilet rolls more frequently than tooth brushes

Mmmm...even Braun (who have a vested interest) don't go that far: "Many dental professionals recommend changing your toothbrush about every three months, and the American Dental Association (ADA) recommends that you replace your toothbrush approximately every three to four months, or sooner if the bristles are frayed."

My dentist and hygienist just say go by the shape of the bristles and the colour of the ones which fade with use. DIY assessment rather than "one rule to ring them all"?

Get organised.

I buy may be 40 at a time. With two of us using electric toothbrushes they don?t last that long and bulk buying saves on postage etc. Just keep them in a plastic box in the bathroom cupboard.

EBay is the cheapest place I?ve found, at least for the Braun ones.

Thass why I said *about* every two months. The point of an e-toothbrush is not to do a better job of polishing your teeth. It's to dislodge the food junk *between* your teeth. Which is why if the bristles look like they are being flattened over, it's time to replace.

All those recommendations are from vested interests. Its not rocket science deciding when brush head needs replacement. You're all victims of saremongering hype. I dont clean my teeth in the bathroom so that would be an unnecessary hike to get to the bathroom cupboard which we dont have in the bathroom anyway. Bathroom cupboards are so naff and passe anyway

I put them in the holder that is part of the charger. I buy in packs of 8 the other 4 I loose with the 3 or 4 tubes of toothpaste I buy when they are on special offer. :-)

None of ours has had that, although I have seen that type. It's not a problem though, as we just use a separate holder.
