vax vacuums/carpet washers

Hello,

Has anyone used a Vax vacuum/washer? How good are they as a vacuum and how good are they as a washer? Is it better to hire a rug doctor if your carpets are dirty or does the Vax work well?

Thanks in advance, Stephen.

Hi

Stephen coughed up some electrons that declared:

Yes

Very good as a straight vac and very tough, good for rough work. Just adequate but not great on carpet IME. Something with a powered beater (VAX may have these as an option) is really needed on carpet to shift the hair and fluff and knock the grit out.

Adequate. For something you can whip out in the event of spills or a quick clean they are OK. I used one for years on short pile carpet.

Normal dirt, quick go over upholstery or car, VAX is OK. Young children or grossed out carpets: you're better off hiring the rug doctor. The difference the scrubber bar makes is immense.

You're welcome :)

Cheers

Tim
