Vans that can take a 8ft x 4ft sheet

I've been looking at some vans, the criteria is it must be able to take a 8ft x 4ft sheet.

I'm looking at nominally 3 years old.

The ideal is a Ford Transit Custom. The SWB (L1) seems a bit short to take them with ease. The LWB (L2) seems to be rare.

I have seen a few Vauxhall Vivaros and they seem to be less that 2/3 the price of Transit Customs and a well proportioned size.

A long shot perhaps, but does anyone have any views or experience?

I'm perfectly happy with my LWB 3.5 Transit.

Many thanks.

I did but the display of the data was a mess, not sure if that's a Firefox thing. Will investigate further.

I was hoping that Adam and a few others might have had views, such as avoiding Fiat vans!

Certainly avoid Fiats. FWIW 4x8 can go on the roof of almost anything.

Don't overlook max payloads. Was disappointed to find Merc Sprinters that could only carry just over a tonne.

Do not get a Fiat.

HTH:-)

Mine is, as you know, off the road for a little bit of bodywork damage.

The replacement FIAT is performing to usual standards. The windscreen wipers only work if your foot is on the brake pedal.

Cool! Where do you get 3m lengths of ply though?
