Apologies for introducing a DIY topic to what is becoming a general chit-chat group (hint: use "OT:" in the subject line for non-DIY stuff).
It's the time of year when apples start falling off the trees and, having just done some mowing (in gentle rain!), the thought occurred that I might be able to adapt my unused Bosch AXT 2000 shredder as an apple scratter. I suspect it isn't ideal, because it has a screw "cutter" rather than a whirling blade, but I'm tempted to give it a go. Before I dismantle and clean it I'd be interested in hearing whether anyone else here has trodden the same path with, or without, success.
