Found myself in the position for the first time in years that I have no "old" jeans to wear for my DIY activities. I had "grown out" of my old 32 waist jeans and SWMBO disposed of them. The jeans I was wearing finally gained too much "ventilation" after I bent over to pick up a brick, and they have gone. So, can anyone recommend cheap trousers for DIY tasks ? Asda sell cheap jeans for 5 quid, but usually these discount things make even a macho builder look like a mincing weirdo. Simon.

Personally I like work dungarees. Make you look more like Super Mario than a mincing weirdo.
You sew them in the nude after having performed a full risk analysis. Oh and don't stand up too quickly when the needles are flying, else you might find your new work trousers are permanently attached. Simon.
It's not cold at this time of year. If you're self conscious about your body parts keep your knickers on.

Most market stalls will do jeans for a fiver: M & S was about a tenner last time I looked, also supermarkets...
At that price they are 'consumables' for the job..
all my trousers shrunk too last winter.. and so have the tape measures in the clothes shops...

You got a T J Hughes store by you? they have some tough jeans at about £7 a pair,a few brands to choose from too.
I've been told that sea air shrinks clothes too and our cruise coming up ... :-(

ooooh! noooooo! the bloke might have died in them or worse still drop a brownie.
Chzrioty shop clothes are always thoroughly cleaned before being put on sale.
What difference would it make if someone had died in an article of clothing?

So are you saying you'd wear some other womans dresses or clothes? I think not.
I know people who have moved because they have discovered that a previous owner has died in their house. And I mean natural causes such as old age or heart attacks.

So it's not the fact, it's knowing. After all, any number of people might have died in any spot - mostly we simply don't know.
