TOT Amazon Info
No surprise there then. Both sides stood to lose if they went ahead with the ban.
Oddly enough, I was thinking last night whether to ask if anyone here knew how the discussions were going. I shall probably shift my payments back to Visa and then decide whether or not to hang on to the Amazon / New Day Mastercards. Can't see any real reason to keep them.
Of course. The outcome was obvious from the start. Why anybody would waste time getting a new cc and setting it up with Amazon is beyond me. All that both companies have got is a lot of free publicity (did they need it?).
too late I have cancelled my amazon account...
I didn't
TBH it was not terribly difficult.
just means they can't scam me into PRIME again...anyway ebay is cheaper by far
Just had a new Santander Debit Mastercard. I suspect it is due to Visa and Amazon; now it's been changed, Amazon takes Visa! I don't have a Santander credit card. At least I can change the limit now - I might put it to some awkward figure a bit below £100 so that any scrote that nicks it can't do the max. It can't be scanned whilst in my wallet as it's in a foil envelope.
Doubt it ... I had a santander visa (valid until nov 21) replaced by a santander mastercard (valid from mar 21) so they were changing over before the amazon/visa rumble.
we do
Ah, hadn't realised that as mine was valid into '23.
Yes that was because a fair number of other retailers threatened Visa with similar bans, and I'm sure there was a lot of egg on face at those negotiations. Brian
