The Scout Hut - emergency light update

It turns out that the lead flashing has not yet been replaced. I know this as it is pissing it down and I have just called in to replace the emergency light. Water was dripping through the ceiling.

A fat bastard had decided that if the emergency light in the kitchen was not replaced then the place would have to be closed down for safety reasons (not the info I received last week).

I did point out that if I fit the light then the electrics will trip - and more to the point I cannot legally fit the light and power up the circuit.

There is still a working non-maintained emergency light in the kitchen above the exit door and the place is IMHO safe and legal from an emergency lighting point of view.

If it has to be closed down then it might not be worth paying for all the remedial work and the place can be sold ...

It's ceiling mounted and the water tracks down the cable into the light. I fitted a junction box and made a loop so the water drips off before hitting the JB.

I'll leave it like that until they they fix the roof - at least that way I know where the water is going.
