Table shine

Sep 25, 2008 2 Replies

Hi, I have a wood dining table which has a satin like finish that I have been using cork-backed place mats on to protect the table and shine. The problem is that the cork-backed place mats have dulled the shine underneath them. Is there anything I can use to restore the shine?

The instructions that came with the table said to just use a damp cloth to clean it.

Thanks, Janice

You not been doing the cleaning properly? tut..tut

MrSheen :-) Buy some glass placement mats the ones with clear rubber feet, U now it makes sense.

Try some toothpaste on a cotton bud.

Or some brasso on a bud, but be careful it is a nice seal as you do not want the rubbing paste to go in any holes in the surface as it will look terrible.
