With an Android device you have to sell your soul to Google, which is probably preferable to having your testicles squeezed by Apple. Google Play, ITunes. Apparently everything is a game or a tune these days

Standard android hasn't done that for several years, because dismounting the storage means having to kill apps using it, now it "serves" the storage using MTP (or PTP) but I think there *are* a few devices that still do it the old way.
Seems like the same function set as dropbox & googledrive?
