Suitable paint for garage walls?

soon going to be helping a mate do a semi permanent (removable garage conversation into a computer room. The walls are breeze block / thermalite blocks and as the house is only a few years old we have decided to paint the walls white rather than dry line them, based on cost and allowing the possibility to revert the room to a garage if needed when he comes to sell.

So the question is what to paint the walls with. The easy option would be white emulsion, but I am sure there must be a better alternative that will need fewer coats and give a better finish.

Any hints / tips from you guys?

TIA

Just done this for a garage/workshop - used quality white exterior emulsion through a proper compressor-powered spraygun. Even with 2 coats of thinned PVA first, the blockwork still absorbed immense amounts, but you just keep spraying and eventually it looks *great*. Recommend 3 or 4 PVA coats though, much cheaper than the paint.

Yes, i had thought of sealing the blocks first with PVA. what kind of dilution ratio did you use for the PVA?

somewhere around 1:4 - 1:6 - I was mixing it by the bucketful to feel the sprayer. As long as it's runny enough to spray, it'll be fine.
