Stainless Steel effect paint

Just to clarify. The door is square but the four corners between the front face and the corresponding edge are radiused. There is no radiusing between adjacent edges.

Has anyone used this laminate? Is it thin enough to bend around a 6mm radius?

That is what I would expect. It should be possible to cut one piece slightly oversize, lay the other over it, run a cut through both along the line where the radii join, lift the upper layer to remove the offcut from the lower, then stick everything firmly back in place.

The JAF graphics film I gave a link to appears to be for vehicle graphics, which implies it should be able to conform to quite tight radii, such as are to be found at the edges of panels on van sides.

I have found that Plastikote gives excellent shiny finishes - I have used the chrome, silver and gold before now and they are very good.

yeah: plastikote good BUT old cans look rubbish AND I have sometimes found it not to adhere too well.

I did a cheap plastic torch in the chrome for a stage play and nobody could believe it was not shiny metal. Similarly picked out some leaves on a plaster pot and everyone thought they were gold leaf. It might also be worth looking at the sealer they do for shiny surfaces
