Some things do seem to be more expensive than regular sheds. The =A33.49 bucket for example! Okay it looks more sturdy than the 99p orange ones, but focus DIY have the thicker polyprop ones for 99p now.

The hose clamp set might be worth a go. I think TMH recommended this once before.

The LED lamp looks appealing but a bit pricey! That said, I'll be going there to stock up on sugar soap!

Any experiences of their SDS? Does it have a rotation lock?

And who was looking for staples?

We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold. I remember Rod saying something like:

It has a chisel in the set, so it should.

Sounds like it; " Robust and versatile tool for hammering, chiselling or drilling".

Me. And I ordered them up from Lawson HIS on Monday thinking they would be quicker than getting them from Lidl. Still haven't arrived. For 6 quid carriage I'd expect them next day. Poor show.

Agreed. But on the heap of junk one I already have the chisel just rotates freely.

Thanks for replies.

Incredible how many companies haven't got this interweb shopping right. Either takes days to get stuff or they charge way OTT for delivery - and you don't know the cost until you reach the checkout.

At least on EBay that bit is easy to see from the outset. Go on, you know you'll have to eventually....:-)

Companies that don't have P&P and expected delivery times fairly easily available don't get my custom.

So it has "rotation stop" but not "rotation lock". Subtle difference and only the former can be really implied from the Lidl description.

Oh Lawsons have both - 6 quid flat rate and 4 to 5 working days for delivery. But I thought they were just covering themselves. Most large mail order places will have things collected by the carrier and delivered the day after that. So either they're slow getting the order out or using a poor carrier.

And I don't want to make the same mistake again. (Actually, I just didn't think about it at all when buying - and it was a dirt cheap thing from Screwfix quite a few years ago.)

Here're the instructions for last year's model:

to page 10, that had rotation lock. Seems unlikely they'd remove such a feature.

You need to balance the cost against the delivery time using knowledge o= f how much it costs to send boxes of stuff.

Or only paying the carrier for a 48hr or longer service... =A36 doesn't = buy much delivery these days, particulary on heavy stuff. Though IIRC your order wasn't heavy but I expect a deal has been done such that the carri= er only charges a flat rate for everything and all on the same service. Sav= es having to weigh/price/record each item. Just count 'em and send in a bil= l for n items at =A3x.

6 quid actually pays for quite a lot if you have a big contract with a carrier. And it's their flat rate - 'free' over a certain amount like most do.

Ordered Monday morning and still not arrived. Poor show. My guess is they are slow to dispatch.

I keep getting wrong-footed. One company is slow to acknowledge order, slow to process, doesn't keep me updated and their carrier isn't sparkling. Another company keeps me informed all the way through, and get the order to me next day. But the company reputation, size and value of order and P&P charges are often unrelated to the service received.

But in your case, Lawson-HIS' failure to keep you informed is not a good start. I thought they were quite good? Indeed, I had been thinking about buying something from them soon and your post is making me question whether I should.
