I think you meant Snickett, which is a catch or latch, spelling varies.

Yup. Damaged in some way.
In Scotland, as others have said, it means "locked", as in "is the door sneckit?" We might also say "snibbed". I remember the Yorkshire author Stan Barstow using the expression "sneck lifter" for a drink in one of his novels.
