As I managed to lose a bleed screw I now have a rad I can't shut down completely as one end has a thermostatic valve and I understand turning it to zero doesn't work (and indeed there is a drip from the missing bleed screw, which I will replace when I get hold of one).
So I need to remove the valve head and get a cap that turns the valve fully off but where do I get one - do new TRVs come with one as standard as I can pick up a cheap TRV for about £8.50 at Screwfix. Or can they be bought alone - can't see one online.
And are these caps universal - I believe they are called decorators caps.
