"Security Master" alarm

Oct 13, 2004 2 Replies

Hi, I've just moved into a house which has a "Security Master" alarm fitted. From what I can gather, it used to be sold by B&Q. It's currently on OFF and the previous owners never used it and can't remember the PIN. I've not got the disarm PIN code and would like to re-route some of the cable track. What's the best way round this? The Manufacturer doesn't seem to have a website.

TIA

This forum is a great place to get information about alarms and alarm installation . It has a guests section where questions like this get asked.

I went to the forum and seem to have found a fairly good solution. It transpires that the alarm is close to rubbish so I've cut it out. For future reference, if the switch is in the off position, you can cut the power and all other cables without the alarm going off.
