Anyone know where I can get a Schrader valve with threaded stem + mounting flange? The little bike shop which used to sell them has sadly closed down, and I can't seem to locate a source.

coating is a brass stem which can be soldered into a suitable fitting for your application.

Any decent car accessory shop etc that sells go faster bits. They're called high speed valves and used on some types of alloy wheels.
This is one source for a posh stainless variety.
But I'd guess Halfords would have them in the Ripspeed section.

I asked the same question here a few months ago... I tried all the local tyre depots, Halfords and custom car specialist outlets etc to no avail and eventually got sorted out on ebay with no problem!

Strange. They're still OEM on some cars and definitely on serious off roaders. Of course most tyre places ain't going to care as a standard valve will work for most purposes.
