Sanding belts

I have a workbenck belt sander and need to get some new belts. I don't use it very often, so the ones that I had came apart quite fast, so I want to buy some new ones. The belt that came apart was 10 cm x 90 (maybe 91)cm but Google has not been my friend. Any suggestions as to a good place to get some more.

Many thanks

Jonathan

I imagine they would do. The length of the belt might be fine, I have no idea, but you should check to see if there is a tensioning mechanism on your belt sander to account for such things.

Could it be 91.5cm x 10cm? Is the size printed on the back of the belt?. Examp

Axinstertools have various 91.5cm x 100 in various grit variants plus a mixed grit as below.

Thank you, my sander has a tensioing mechanism, so I will try these.

These are usually quite reasonable for packs of 5 or 10:

I ordered my last stock up, the first for years, off Amazon. From memory, I got a selection of grits - several in each grit- for about £18

I’ve used them a few times and they seem fine.

I also bought a Velcro disk set so I can use hook and loop sanding disks on the sanding wheel on the same machine. The same company sold a selection of disks for that.

Previously, I’d used double sided tape but changing disks was a pain.
