Router tables for a tenner at Aldi.

Local Aldi have a stack of router tables reduced from =A325 to =A310 if anyone's looking out for one. Not sure whether it's a national thing or just certain (larger?) branches clearing out stock.

an almost identical version a few years ago from Netto and, after a little fine tuning to make sure it was bolted together squarely, it's been pretty good for smaller work. A friend's got the Aldi version and likes it too. Takes the Elu clones amongst others - not sure whether you'd get a bigger router underneath it, or if you'd want to.

Didn't have them cheap at our Aldi in Derby, but I paid full price last year and it works fine with my Bosch 900.

I have just bought one of their 3.6V Lithium-ion screwdrivers. Very neat little tool which works very well on the screws I have tried so far. Comes with yet another set of bits, of which I only ever seem to use about 4 types.

What exactly is in this miracle powder and how does it work? I've seen it mentioned here a few times.

Hmm, I'm not convinced that it contains oxalic acid. The product label used to declare "contains food-grade acids", but now says "BP grade acids" which probably gives them more scope!

Mind you, they also sell caustic soda!

No animals were used in the process of selling the product?

Is it now possible to employ animals to replace members of staff in office and warehouse environments?

In Aldi?

Well that is less than twice the price elsewhere, my record was 4 times the price (once for a spade bit and once for 24mm^2 cable). The only way you can justify using the local hardware shop (nice though they are) is to be passing on the costs to a customer or that they have something no-one else has (fork-'andles etc).

I expected an angle grinder :-) (or just possibly car body filler).
