My Clima combination steps/ladder broke IMO rather dangerously after about 6 years of light use; the (compo) brackets that hold the two parts together in extension ladder mode failed - anyone considering buying one should consider this, so I'd like to seek advice on a replacement.
I want a combi step and ladder, and any other functions I can get, and I'll pay fairly silly money for the right article.
The Clima is about 2.8m fully extended - I'd like some more, maybe 3.5m, but also I want it to be OK for internal use, so retracted and in steps mode it should be about 2m.
The Screwfix catalogue (P437) has 2 main types, the folding ladder
13644-74 and the combination ladder 14271-74, and I can't make up my mind.
They both look OK - any suggestions?
I also found a "Little Giant" in googling, which looked good, but the website is deeply uninformative. Has anyone any experience of these, please?
