That's what I thought I heard some motormouth say on the radio this

Who is it that decides which day is allocated to what stupid thing? There seems to be a 'day' for every f****ng obscure thing imaginable and someone must be responsible for coming up with all these inumerable, usually petty and insignificant causes. Obviously got nothing better to do all day than think up this s*it. Probably the Tony Blair Institute or some bunch of unemployable bastards like that.

The makers of greetings cards?

I knew someone who made a point of smoking a cigar once a year on national no-smoking day!

I read that as 'Punch a Jaw Day'.

THen I saw Farage on TV.

No, it was a temperance slogan. "Punch adieu day."

All kinds of special interest groups try to push their "Day" onto the media since "National Ingrowing Toenail Day" helps them get the scourge of ingrowing toenails across to the wider public if it gets mentions on air.

Competition is fierce, and I guess there is a Darwinian process going on to see which ones thrive and which die quietly in the background.

Ah, That must be why Starmer and Rayner are all over the telly today

Many years ago (pre Covid) I found a website which had a complete year calendar of mostly daft things, and it was quite fun greeting people with "Happy [event] Day just to see the puzzlement on their faces.

I never needed it to be bookmarked because it was always in my browser history as a recent page, and I CBA to look for it now but it might still be out there if anyone wants to look for it.

Shouldn't it be "Like Yoda Talk Day"?

Cheers, Harvey

It might be the one I had found, and if not it is certainly similar. I have bookmarked it to investigate at leisure.

Thanks for finding it.
