Procreating Computers

I have a deasktop and a laptop both running Debian, plus four Raspberry Pi systems plus a couple of Beeaglebone Blacks. Apart from the desktop and laptop they are all headless, so I use and manage them all via ssh - no need for lots of keyboards, mice or displays.

About the same here - my work laptop and a server are on a KVM in the study, various virtual machines, home laptop hardly ever goes in there, Pi is headless, any other "visiting" machines tend to get a direct connection to a different input of the 4K monitor ...

Its not just procreating computers - I am on to my 14th guitar !

No, but I have a 24 port switch and 3-5 wifi points.

I can't see how anyone gets by with less... And in fact I need one more wifi point,. Big house + foild backed plasterboard = s*it propagation.

I should have menti0oned that apart from the TVs, only this desktop, the laptop and the phone have screens.

I use a 4 port dual head display port KVM. One on my main "work" PC, one on the gaming / entertainment one, then a couple of spares on the service desk for visiting machines. Pretty much everything else I will use one form or remote access or another...

So if I am working on an untrusted PC, then it will typically get access via remote control - while connected to a lan connection isolated on its own vlan, and in a separate subnet.

Remote access is also often just easier for many things - even if just because finding space to set them up, or using a laptop with proper screen / keyboard etc.
