Price book cost for excavation?

Does anyone have access to an up to date Spons or Wessex book who could check a unit price? My neighbour is having some building work done that amazingly has a taking off list and unit costs provided by the builders quantity surveyor.

There was quite a lot of excavation to begin with and this has been priced at =A350/m3 but the description includes disposal of the spoil. She didn't actually need this because they were able to just dump it on site. The builder swears that this is just a quirk of the QS's estimating software and that price is just for excavation.

It looks on the steep side compared to my pricing books, but I haven't worked as a QS for 10 years so I'm a bit out of date. Can anyone provide an up to date price book figure?

I know it's an astronomical cost compared to hiring an excavator and driver, but I realise people need to make their profit along the supply chain.

Thanks in advance.
